Degenerate Gambling in Another World - Chapter 2

Kai had never been to the kingdom of Homep before, but he had heard of it. It was a beautiful land with rolling hills and crystal-clear lakes. But something was off when he arrived. The streets were deserted, and the once-bustling marketplaces were empty.

He asked around and finally found someone who would talk to him. “What happened to this place?” he asked.

The man shrugged. “The princess happened. She’s a gambler, you see. She’s lost all the kingdom’s money, and now everyone’s suffering.”

Kai knew he had to find a way to help. That’s when he stumbled upon the princess herself. She was sitting in a back alley, playing a game of dice with a shady-looking character.

Kai watched from the shadows, and when the game was over, he approached her. “Your Highness, may I speak with you?”

The princess looked up, surprised to see a stranger addressing her. “Who are you, and what do you want?”

Kai introduced himself and explained that he was a gambler. “I think I might be able to help you,” he said. “If you’re willing to listen.”

The princess was skeptical at first, but Kai was persuasive. He told her about his plan to earn back all the money she had lost, and she finally agreed to give him a chance.
