Degenerate Gambling in Another World - Chapter 5
Kai and Princess Hori had been running their casino for several months now, and business was booming. They had managed to amass a large fortune and had even begun expanding their operations to other nearby kingdoms. However, they had yet to address the root of the problem – Princess Hori’s reckless gambling habits.
One day, as they sat in their private chambers counting their earnings, Kai decided it was time to confront the princess. “Hori, we need to talk,” he said solemnly.
The princess looked up from her counting and furrowed her brows. “What’s the matter, Kai?” she asked.
“You know as well as I do that your gambling has caused a lot of harm,” Kai said, looking at her intently. “Homep suffered greatly because of it, and if we’re not careful, we could end up losing everything we’ve built.”
Princess Hori looked down at the table, guilt written all over her face. “I know, Kai,” she whispered. “I’ve been trying to control my addiction, but it’s not easy.”
Kai nodded sympathetically. “I know it’s not easy, but we can’t keep running away from our problems. We need to face them head-on if we want to make things right.”
The princess looked up at him, her eyes full of determination. “You’re right, Kai. It’s time we put an end to this once and for all.”
They spent the next few days developing a plan to help the princess overcome her gambling addiction. Kai used his knowledge of psychology to come up with a series of techniques and strategies that would help her resist the urge to gamble. Princess Hori was skeptical at first, but she trusted Kai and was willing to try anything to overcome her addiction.
Over the next few weeks, they worked tirelessly on their plan. Kai would monitor the princess’s behavior and step in whenever she showed signs of relapsing. Princess Hori would practice self-control techniques and focus on other things, like reading and exercising, to keep her mind off gambling.
Slowly but surely, the plan began to work. Princess Hori’s urge to gamble diminished, and she started to regain control of her life. Kai was overjoyed to see the progress she was making and felt a sense of pride knowing that he had helped her overcome her addiction.
As they sat in their private chambers one evening, counting their earnings, Princess Hori looked up at Kai and smiled. “Thank you, Kai,” she said. “I couldn’t have done it without you.”
Kai smiled back at her. “It was my pleasure, Hori. I’m just glad to see you’re doing better.”
The two of them continued to run their casino and expand their operations, but they did so with a newfound sense of responsibility and awareness. They knew they couldn’t undo the damage that had already been done, but they were determined to make things right and ensure that Homep and its people would never suffer again because of their reckless gambling habits.
