I Miss You - Chapter 1
John had been feeling lost for a long time. He had lost his job, his wife had left him, and his kids had grown up and moved away. He felt disconnected from the world around him and didn’t know where to turn. One day, he decided to go for a hike through the woods, hoping to clear his mind and find some peace.
As he walked deeper into the forest, John noticed a figure darting between the trees in the distance. Curiosity got the better of him, and he followed the figure until he came across a clearing. There, he saw a girl sitting alone on a log. She had long blonde hair and bright blue eyes, and John was immediately captivated by her beauty.
“Hello,” John said tentatively, approaching the girl.
“Hi,” she replied with a smile.
They struck up a conversation, and John was surprised by how easy it was to talk to her. She seemed to understand him in a way that no one else did, and he found himself opening up to her in ways he never thought possible.
As they talked, John began to feel a sense of peace wash over him. He didn’t know who this girl was, but he felt like he had known her his entire life. They talked about everything from the beauty of the forest to their dreams and aspirations. Before he knew it, several hours had passed.
“It’s getting late,” John said, reluctantly standing up. “I should probably head back.”
The girl nodded, and John realized that he didn’t even know her name. He was about to ask when he noticed something strange happening to her appearance. Her hair, which had been blonde, turned a deep shade of brown. Her eyes, which had been blue, turned green. Her features seemed to shift and change before his eyes, and he realized that he was looking at a ghost.
